Hoover, Alabama

We grow what Hoover deserves on its own table.

Seasonal produce pulled from the ground that morning. Artisan goods made by neighbors. No warehouses, no middlemen — just the honest work of local growers and the people who show up.

Our Story

Not a store. A tradition we keep alive.

Lake Wilborn Farmers Market isn't a place you pass through — it's a place you return to. Every Saturday, the growers, bakers, and artisans who call the Hoover area home set up their tables and do what they've always done: show up with their best work.

There's no markup from a distribution center. No produce that rode a truck for three days. Just hands that planted, tended, and harvested — and hands that receive it fresh. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, and it's the reason families make this market a weekly ritual.

What's on the Table

From the soil to your hands

Every category is stocked by the people who grew it, made it, or raised it. Here's what you'll find when you walk through our gates.

Fresh seasonal vegetables

Seasonal Vegetables

Tomatoes, sweet corn, collards, okra, and everything the Alabama soil gives us — picked the morning you arrive.

Fresh seasonal fruits

Orchard Fruits

Peaches in June, figs in August, apples through fall. Each variety chosen for flavor, not shipping durability.

Fresh herbs and edible flowers

Herbs & Edible Flowers

Basil, rosemary, mint, cilantro, and nasturtiums — all grown without synthetic inputs, all fragrant and alive.

Local honey and artisan preserves

Honey & Preserves

Raw Alabama honey, small-batch jam, and shrub syrups from vendors who treat preservation as a craft, not a shortcut.

Freshly baked bread and pastries

Baked Goods

Sourdough loaves, cornbread, biscuits, and seasonal pastries — warm from the oven before the market even opens.

Pasture-raised meats and eggs

Pasture-Raised Meats & Eggs

Free-range eggs, heritage breed meats, and charcuterie from farms that pasture their animals the way nature intended.

More Than Produce

This market is people-first

We measure success in conversations started, recipes shared, and neighbors remembered. Here's what makes our Saturday routine something worth protecting.

Community Roots

Generations of Hoover families have gathered here. This is where local food culture lives and grows.

Sustainable Practices

Our vendors use regenerative farming, composting, and minimal packaging because the land feeds us — we protect it in return.

Family Friendly

Kids learn where food comes from. Activities, tastings, and the simple joy of picking something grown nearby.

Artisan Craft

Every vendor is a maker. Cheese, bread, pottery, candles — skill you can taste, touch, and take home.
